Breathtakingly ugly in every conceivable way!,,

I will now have to lie down in a darkened room and tell myself that it was all just a very, very bad dream....

I'm asking myself questions. Such as: what does Windstruck Didgeridoo believe a handpan should sound like? Like that? (the first two made). If so, I'm wondering WHERE that idea came from. Maybe from a whole bunch of very substandard handpans on eBary?

Just a thought.

Probably this is determined by the fact that he made it. The absence of any self-criticism does not lead to perfectionism. It's the big problem with the "new makers" these days.
If you look at the bottom of the second one (with the goat skin) he basicallly turning all his failed shells into instruments -- which could be nice if he wasn't calling them "handpans" and selling them.

I can.......preferably a very,very,very long time.........and then some more........ideally NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER!

That's a long enough wait for me and Josiah!!!!! :+1:  :yahoo:

On the flip side, the 'Comic Blue, One Eyed Frankenpan' has provided much entertainment and hilarity! :giggle:

It is hard to believe the makers of this instrument are intent on selling it. I understand prototypes and the whole learning curve, but those pieces should be listed as such or preferably kept to ourselves.

I've contacted him via Facebook, and told him about the forum and this thread specifically... he's already aware of it.
I hope he learns something here, if he comes... :)
I just thought that, by telling him, he or others like him will have the perception that someone is watching this kind of stuff and maybe, in the future, think twice before trying to sell those things to people.
