Noticed this on gumtree UK - 1st gen Panart Hang

Any thoughts on this?? Seems more genuine than most from the description. Can't seem to see the 'video' the add mentions though:

Hey I saw this too last week but I just didn't think about it.

Although there is no way to tell for sure if it is a scam or not, to me its description makes me very suspicious.

No sound model/scale info
No PANArt instrument number given
No video even though its says there is one...
No extra details, like how long they have had it, why they are selling it.

It's the kind of minimalist advent that I've seen hundreds of and they are pretty much all scams.

This could be simply be a lacklustre advertisement for a real Hang (and who would blame the poor seller..) but I think its more likely that it is a scam.

Reply to the ad, see what happens.

The seller mentions a contour on the rim which can be seen in the photo. To me it look as though the ding has been pushed in. I would say this hang looks damaged and I would be very wary of it.

With damage like that on the rim I think there is little chance of the hang being in good tuning.

Buyer beware as a simple retune may not be so simple!!

Yep... Avoid at all costs!

Seller refuses to talk serial numbers, has suddenly had to move to Scotland so the Hang cannot be viewed in person and they're having issues uploading a video of the Hang.

The shame of some people...... :(
