Well here's the thing psanchez...
Everything concerning the evolution of this "family" of handpans is circumspect (in question). There is no transparency. No one will say their connections. No one will answer why whole product names have been dropped. No one will answer why whole websites have been abandoned. No one will give a decent biography of this "family" of makers. It is all cloudy.
Hanpan.US = Hernan Drum = Sagittarius = STG
It is all the same as far as we know. Jeremy D's post is an STG as far as we know and is completely on target for this conversation.
Second, and probably most disturbing is this notion that someone can "with a bit of intelligence" can fix their handpan. That is just flat-out dangerous information. And your statement is very insulting.
for me is enough for me to know that if you are a normal person and have a bit of intelligence and you have and accident in your hand pan and if you want to save money on air shippings then you will be able to retune part of a note with some detailed instructions! but with a a lack of common sense and learning capacities I guess not.
viewtopic.php?p=95643#p95643That is why topics about Hanpan.US = Hernan Drum = Sagittarius = STG will always go into "Buyer Beware". I would never tell someone what to do, but
Buyer Beware is the best place for this "family" of handpans.
Finally, I'm glad you are happy with your handpan.
