Scam Section?

Postby shtoonkeyg » Mon Apr 29, 2013 11:16 pm

I'm wondering if the mods might consider making a separate section of the forum dedicated to the reporting of internet/ebay scams. I think a good idea would be to keep this part of the forum for legitimate offers only, instead of a bunch of buyer beware posts :)

I think that reporting the scams to the people on this forum is good and all, but with all of the scams that there are, I think a new subsection is justified!

Thoughts?

I dont know...When scampans are first posted they are not necessarely identified as is. They come in as a question that resolves in scam or not.IMHO I think If we split the swap section, some people will not check both sections so scampans could be posted twice or more. Also transfering topics and post is work for admins and i think they already have a lot to do. :)

This has been suggested multiple times before.

I know the Admin team has discussed it. I can't remember why, but we had some sort of reason to hold off.

I will post a better response soon.

HandPans on Ebay almost always fall into one of two categories:
1. Scams
2. Pans I can't afford
Kind of makes life simple

The 3. Scams I can't afford category makes life even simpler.
