Found this after a friend told me that an online UK music shop was selling 3 Hanghang for 1500 euros each.

http://musical-shop.co.uk/en/

It's very strange as the website looks totally normal, they say they have a physical address in UK. But the description / photos are already knew, 100% scam.

After writing to the seller (direct link from the online shop), the seller sent me 2 links of the Hanghang "he sells":

http://vimeo.com/88628890
http://vimeo.com/89587648

After a quick view to the first one, I noticed something strange. The guy is playing on a second gen Hang.. with tattoos...

OMG  It's Adrian Portia from Melbourne, playing on MY 2GEN HANG

So the guy is trying to sell me... my own Hang :o My god...

Cheers

Well at least you're certain of what it's worth, no surprises! And you don't even have to pay for shipping!

Well there's no better way to find out if it's a scam or not. You almost have to appreciate the irony. :)

@ Miguel, just a reminder that I'm not playing on this video. The compliment will go to the player ;-)

@ broussel2 , Yep I'm certain this Hang is a very good instrument <3

That's exactly what I made eheheh. But still, I'm surprised to see the energy that the guy put to make a fake... the whole website. And, he took a Youtube video from Adrian to copy it under his name on Vimeo... A luck that he doesn't know what he's selling.

Well there's no better way to find out if it's a scam or not. You almost have to appreciate the irony. :)

@ Snivy, I really laughed a lot  . I only regret to be part somehow of a scam :?

I ran across this musical-shop site a few days ago and yes there were some telltale signs of a scam, such as wanting payment only by bank transfer and using the wrong currency for the UK. After some snooping I actually got in contact with a law firm that is right down the street from this "shop". They helped me out.

The lawyer knows the people in the address that is indicated on the musical shop website. Needless to say the shop is not there. Also, the replies to my emails by the shop were always in broken English, another clue of a possible scam. Not proof. but merely a clue.
